Challenge
Before Worldfavor, Alimak Group faced challenges in mapping their extensive and diverse supply chain. With a wide range of suppliers differing in size and maturity, Alimak Group needed a streamlined solution to efficiently collect and manage data.
Solution
Alimak Group chose Worldfavor due to the simplicity of the platform, and the adaptability regarding what type of information they want to collect from their various suppliers. Alimak Group uses Worldfavor to collect data from suppliers, get an overview of the collected data and communicate improvements back to them.
Result
With Worldfavor Alimak Group ensures compliance with regulations such as CSRD/ESRS, CSDDD, while also benefiting from saved time in administrative operations and improved data structure.
Challenges
Prior to using Worldfavor, Alimak Group gathered data on their suppliers, but faced challenges with mapping their supply chain due to having a large number of suppliers of varying sizes and maturity levels.
The data Alimak Group gathered was mostly connected to regulation, end-user safety and quality. When it came to collecting data on ESG matters Alimak Group’s efforts were focused more on their own internal operations. They included ESG matters in their code of conduct with suppliers, but there was no system in place to follow up on the data provided. They were in need of a solution which would allow them to easily reach out to and collect information from many different organizations with different levels of maturity.
Solution
Alimak Group’s initial goal with Worldfavor’s solution was to track that their code of conduct was being followed, including the ESG aspects in the supply chain. They also aimed to identify and reduce supply chain risks, which have become a greater focus with the introduction of the ESRS and upcoming CSDDD directives from the European Union, significantly increasing their efforts in said direction.
